SynchroStor News: SynchroStor awarded funding from Innovate UK for a feasibility study with CVH Spirits and Deanston Distillery

We're delighted to announce that SynchroStor has been awarded funding from Innovate UK for a feasibility study with CVH Spirits.

A six-month project will explore how our high-temperature heat pump technology could help decarbonise whisky production at CVH's Deanston Distillery by replacing fossil-fuelled process heat with cost-effective electrification, while maintaining the quality and performance the industry demands.

Industrial heat remains one of the biggest challenges on the journey to Net Zero, and we're excited to be working with Deanston Distillery to investigate how innovative heat pump technology can reduce both carbon emissions and operating costs in one of Scotland's most iconic industries.

By combining detailed site data, digital twin modelling and real-world testing at our Edinburgh R&D facility, we'll generate the evidence needed to support commercial deployment across the whisky sector and beyond.

Project funding was awarded by Innovate UK through its Made Smarter Innovation (MSI) programme supporting affordable, easy-to-use and scalable industrial digital technologies that improve energy efficiency in small and medium-sized manufacturers.
